Kick it Girls Documentary film (approx. 15 minutes), filmkids, a documentary film project by girls about girls and soccer
In this film project, girls who love soccer are in front of and behind the camera. As a film crew and protagonists, they embark on a personal journey of discovery: they meet other soccer players, hear their stories, learn about their dreams, and discuss their aspirations for women's soccer. But their gaze also goes beyond the sports field and includes potential viewers. The film gives young female soccer players a voice and proves that soccer is much more than just a sport for them—it is a passion that gives them self-determination and a sense of belonging.
Redefining the Game, Michelle Bobst, documentary film (15 minutes) ZHdK 2024
Women's soccer has experienced a strong upswing in recent years and has undergone impressive development. The road is far from over, and there is still room for improvement in many areas. The documentary "Redefining the Game" sheds light on the development of women's soccer in Switzerland and lets three women talk about their love of soccer. It shows how the three protagonists have made their way in the shadow of their male colleagues, the prejudices they have had to contend with, and the challenges they have overcome along the way.
