Garage Wetzikon: Youth film "Sieger sein"

Garage Wetzikon is showing the youth film "Sieger sein" (Being a Winner). Eleven-year-old Mona (Dileyla Agirman) has fled Syria with her Kurdish family and ends up at a school in Berlin's Wedding district. Mona doesn't speak a word of German, but she knows soccer. Her teacher, Mr. Chepovich, or Mr. Che for short, recognizes her extraordinary talent and takes her into the girls' team. Mona is a real fighter, but she soon realizes that she and the other girls can only win if they play together. Just like soccer, this 90-minute film is about everything! A moving film about courage, community, and the fight for victory – not only on the soccer field.
