The «ZüriElf» is complete

The group draw on December 16, 2024, was a special moment for soccer player Alayah Pilgrim. She will be playing with the Swiss national team against Finland, Iceland, and Norway. "I'm looking forward to the tournament. We want to seize our opportunity and know that we can count on the fans in the stadium and in the fan zones." In addition to the 21-year-old, other Zurich personalities have joined the «ZüriElf,» including Dr. Severin Dressen, Director of Zurich Zoo, sport climber Petra Klingler, and Ann Demeester, Director of the Kunsthaus Zurich.

ZüriElf is growing
More Zurich personalities have joined "ZüriElf" and are strengthening the ambassador team led by soccer legend Fabienne Humm:
Ana Maria Marković: The Croatian national soccer player was born in Switzerland and grew up in Zurich. She started her soccer career in the city on the Limmat.
Stefan Büsser: The well-known comedian, radio and TV presenter is a soccer fan and can hardly wait for the international tournament to kick off on his doorstep: "Next summer, we will have the unique opportunity to see the best female soccer players in Europe live in the stadium. I am particularly looking forward to the matches in Zurich."
Sarah Akanji: The former soccer player is committed to women's soccer at the political and club level. "The tournament is a unique opportunity to promote women's soccer in Switzerland. Women's soccer is finally getting the attention it deserves," explains the host of the women's soccer podcast "Steilpass."
Naomi Lareine: The Zurich singer used to play soccer herself and is considered a promising voice in the Swiss music industry. "Music and sport have the power to bring people together. It is a privilege to be able to use my music to support women and queer people."
Abassia Rahmani: The blade runner came fifth at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris and trains regularly at the Letzigrund Stadium. "Role models are very important in sport. I hope that the European Championships on home soil will raise awareness of women's professional sport."
Nadine Jürgensen: The start-up entrepreneur, lawyer, and journalist is a committed advocate for equality in Switzerland. "The summer of 2025 is a unique opportunity for Zurich to be in the international spotlight and to promote gender equality in sport."
