Kino Xenix: Children's cinema "Sieger sein"

The Xenix Cinema is showing the youth film "Sieger sein." Eleven-year-old Mona (Dileyla Agirman) has fled Syria with her Kurdish family and arrives at a school in Berlin's Wedding district. Mona doesn't speak a word of German, but she can play soccer. Her teacher, Mr. Chepovich, or Mr. Che for short, recognizes her extraordinary talent and takes her into the girls' team. Mona is a real fighter, but she soon realizes that she can only win if she and the other girls play together. Just like soccer, this 90-minute film is about everything! A moving film about courage, community, and the fight for victory – not only on the soccer field.
