The «Red Goals» light art project illuminates well-known locations in the city of Zurich in a special light in the evening and at night: from the Zürichhorn to the Lindenhof and the Turbinenplatz. It is based on the artistic concept of Hamburg-based light artist, theater maker, and scenographer Michael Batz, which he implemented for the 2006 Men's Soccer World Cup in Hamburg (Blue Goals).
Two additional Red Goals will be installed on the grounds of the Swiss Embassy in Berlin for the duration of the tournament to symbolize the connection between the cities of Zurich and Berlin.
