Tournament
Event
In one year, the first game will take place at the Letzigrund Stadium.

The tournament will take place in Switzerland from July 2 to 27, 2025. The city of Zurich is one of eight host cities. In addition to three group matches, one quarter-final and one semi-final will be played at the Letzigrund Stadium. The first of these five games will take place in one year's time, on July 5, 2025. City Councilor Filippo Leutenegger, Head of the Department of Education and Sport, is delighted: "We are proud that the biggest event in European women's sport is coming to Zurich in the summer of 2025."
Special tram ensures visibility
To draw attention to the tournament in the remaining months, City Councilors Filippo Leutenegger, Head of the Department of Education and Sport, and Michael Baumer, Head of the Department of Industrial Services, joined Tournament Director Doris Keller, Host City Zurich Ambassador Fabienne Humm, and Host City Zurich Project Manager Regula Schweizer in a ceremony to unveil a Tram in the tournament design inaugurated. "Zurich and Switzerland are internationally renowned for their efficient public transport system. The special tram and top-class soccer are therefore a perfect match," explains Michael Baumer, Head of the Department of Industrial Services, adding: "We are delighted that, starting today, we will be able to raise awareness of the event among the local population and international guests and, at the same time, highlight the outstanding performance of our public transport system."
Public transportation and soccer will work well together at the European Championship in a year's time: Thanks to the integration of public transportation tickets on match days, match attendees throughout Switzerland will be able to travel to and from the stadium free of charge. Tickets for a match will be available from October 1, 2024, starting at 25 Swiss francs. "With these moderate prices, the tournament should be a football festival for everyone – from families and football newbies to die-hard fans," explains tournament director Doris Keller.
Central fan zone on Europaallee
Throughout the event, there will be a centrally located fan zone with public viewing on Europaallee. All matches will be shown from the opening game to the final. "The fan zone brings the tournament to the heart of Zurich. For one month, Europaallee will become a meeting place for soccer fans and a gathering place for locals and visitors," explains Regula Schweizer, project manager for Host City Zurich.
